Q: Our two year old twins nap pretty regularly with the nanny during the week, and on Saturday they sleep for two hours like clockwork. But on Sunday, we can never get them to follow any sort of schedule--no matter what time we put them down--and they end up playing in their room for hours. My wife and I alternate waking up with the kids on the weekends and she often sleeps late on Sunday. Could this be throwing them off?

A: It is interesting how little ones can pick up on subtle changes in their environment.  I suspect that there is something that is going on that is quite different on Sundays, especially since they will nap on Saturdays when you are all home.  Think about what is different about their schedule and possibly differences in their naptime routine.  Be sure and stick as much as possible with the time they usually go down for naptime, and keep mealtimes on track too.
