My daughter is 1 ½ year- old and has decided that she hates her highchair. What should I do?
Q: Any advice would be appreciated.
A: Toddlers often decide they want freedom at the dining table. But, if your little one is too squirmy to graduate to a booster seat at the table, you may want to set up a plastic picnic table in your kitchen and let her have the freedom to eat there and then leave. One rule: once she leaves the table, dinner is over. She cannot go back and forth and graze through her meal. Bottom line: she chooses to eat or leave.
