dogs are allowed at four Disney World resorts. Break out the food and water bowls!

Starting this past weekend, man’s best friend can accompany you on your next magical vacation. As long as you book your stay at the Yacht Club Resort, Port Orleans Riverside Resort, the Art of Animation Resort, or the cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

Until now, the closest thing to having your pet on vacation with you was boarding him at the on-property kennel. Now, the furriest Disney fan in the family will be welcome to wag his way into a themed-out room right alongside you. And, there’s more.

According to Oh My Disney, the participating resorts are now equipped with pet exercise and relief areas. Your canine will also get his own welcome kit from Pluto, which includes all the things he’ll need to relax and enjoy his vacation, from a special ID tag to a mat with bowls and puppy pick-up bags, as well as a privacy door tag.

Of course, additional fees will apply if you want your pup to accompany you on your trip. Depending on where you stay, the pet and clean-up fees per night will run you between $50 - $75.

Have more than one furry BFF? According to the Disney Parks Blog, each room will allow two dogs. Oh, and if you are not a dog lover, or suffer from allergies, don’t worry. You can still stay at one of the pet-friendly resorts, as only certain floors have gone to the dogs.

Finally, wondering what you’ll do with your puppy pal when you head out to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Disney Springs or one of the water parks? Pet-sitting services are available, for an extra cost, of course. To make your little buddy feel better about being separated from you for the day, just pick up a special gift for him in a souvenir shop (coming soon)!
