This video is short, scary, but totally relatable.

With just a 4-second run-time, a video of a toddler running by with a knife has somehow taken over the Internet. Posted to Twitter, the bite-size-length clip has clearly given many parents a much-needed laugh, or something to just watch and think, "been there."

All we see is a little boy running at top speed past an above-ground pool in a backyard, holding an object. A woman, presumably his mom, calls after him, "Let me see what you have..."

"A knife!" the kiddo answers with glee, but totally not pausing and continuing his getaway.

"NO!" the woman screams, and takes off after the mini-knife wielding bandit.

Yup, that's it. But the video has been retweeted 122,000 times, garnered over 1,000 comments, and been favorited upwards of 236,000 times, at time of writing.

It's anybody's guess, really, and judging by the comments, many people don't even know why they like it. Mostly, they admit they had to watch the clip multiple times to even figure out what was going on.

I know why I laughed at this tot; because what parent hasn't been just living life when suddenly, you catch your kid doing something they really shouldn't? Like the time I walked in on my girls pretending to pierce their ears with thumb tacks. Um, no.
