Video Nails the Total Lack of Privacy Moms Get in the Bathroom

This mom vlogger perfectly captures the struggle of getting just a few minutes of alone time in the bathroom when you've got kids.

Raise your hand if you are a mom and you haven't had a moment alone in the bathroom since giving birth.

Meredith Masony, the hilarious That's Inappropriate vlogger, has created a video, "Shut The Door," that is about precisely this lack of privacy. Because, just like in my household, a closed bathroom door apparently means nothing to her kids.

From signing her daughter's school agenda, to having to open fruit snacks, there's no such thing as a bad time to ask for help in the Masony household.

"I'm pooping. Why are we bringing food into the bathroom?" asks this super-real mom from the toilet.

Her bathroom time is also the perfect opportunity to read to mom, according to her kids. "I don't want to be read to while I'm pooping," Masony tells her kiddo, adding, "I would like to wipe my own butt in private."

But it's not just the kids who can't give her a minute. After several interruptions from her children, next up is Masony's husband barging into what should be an off-limits space, as he has a demand that seemingly can't wait until the toilet flushes. Has she seen his wallet?

"It's not my wallet, it's your wallet!" she asserts, still sitting on the toilet.

The last moment of this video was my favorite, because it's the most relatable of all. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but trust, the payoff is worth it if you watch.

About her complete lack of privacy in the bathroom, Masony told Parents.com, "It simply amazes me that anyone would want to share a space with someone who is pooping."

Meanwhile, in my house, it's totally acceptable for my kids to come into the bathroom while I'm in there, but Lord forbid I interrupt their potty time. "My oldest wants to be left alone while he is doing his business," Masony told us, adding, "But the other two welcome me in and ask that I sit with them. At no point do I want to spend time with anyone while they are pooping."

Her dream for herself and others? Just to poop in peace!
