Apparently, a kiss on the lips can be quite controversial.

It seems like almost every day, another celeb mom gets taken to task for something she's posted online.

This time, it's Victoria Beckham, who shared an adorable pic of herself kissing her daughter Harper on the lips last weekend, along with a sweet birthday message: "Happy Birthday baby girl. We all love you so much. Kisses from mummy."

So cute! But that didn't stop all the haters from coming out in the comment section to bash the former Spice Girl and dismiss the precious mom-daughter moment as everything from "very disgusting" to "emotionally scarring."

"That's one passionate kiss right there," wrote one commenter. "TOTALLY WRONG."

"Ew sorry I'm old-fashioned it looks like they making out," added another.

And from a third: "Seems like lesbians."

Really, guys? Judging someone for showering their daughter with birthday kisses—is that what things have come to? With all the real hatred out there in the world today, and so many unwanted, abused, and abandoned kids, how can people possibly find something negative in an image of a mother who is clearly overwhelmed by the unconditional love she has for her child?

So very sad.

Beckham has taken the high road so far and stayed mum on the controversy. But other parents have not, and they are now hitting back in a big way to show their solidarity with Beckham by posting pictures on social media of themselves kissing their kids on the lips.

YASSSSS! What an amazing turn of events! Women standing up for other women, parents supporting other parents—this is the way it should always be...and we really, really want to see more of it!

Beckham has always seemed like a great mom who is super-involved in her kids' lives, and who cherishes the special moments. So we say ignore all the keyboard warriors, Posh! And keep right on kissing those babies!
