Meet Michael Brown.
When the 3-year-old was finally adopted after spending 832 days in foster care, he greeted the news with an exuberant fist pump and we SO don't blame him!
How adorable is this kid? So adorable that after his new big sis, 17-year-old Dae Brown, tweeted out a picture of what just might be the best reaction ever, Michael and his huge, infectious victory pose quickly went viral.
"Forever Family," Dae captioned the image, then added the simple but life-changing hashtag #Adopted.
It was a long time in the making, but on December 20, Michael was adopted by Tara Montgomery, a single mom with two daughters. The little boy had been placed with Montgomery when he was 18 months old, with the original plan for him to eventually reunite with his biological mother. When it didn't work out, he was put up for adoption.
"I felt like he was a part of our family right from the start," Montgomery told the Huffington Post. "His last name was already Brown (which was the same as my kids) and he looked as if he could have been truly related."
Now, of course, Michael has become a viral sensation, with Dae's celebratory tweet racking up more than 57,000 retweets and 143,000 likes. Pretty cool. But Montgomery is just grateful her son's newfound status is bringing some much-needed awareness to adoption.
"If this can inspire just one person to make a difference in the life of a child, we are happy," she said.
Fist bumps all around.
