This Mom Turns Her Twins' Naptime Into Epic Adventures on Instagram

They've DJ-ed a party, hung out with Snoopy, and traveled into space, all without ever leaving their beds.

When my kids were babies and they finally fell asleep, it was time for celebration in my house. Which meant squeezing in a quick pilates workout, binge-watching Netflix, and then cracking open a bottle of wine (or 10).

But this Japanese mom takes a decidedly different and—let's be honest—less selfish approach to her twins' naptime by using the time to create some seriously artistic scenes around her sleeping children, and then sharing them on her Instagram account. And lemme just say, these little ones have snoozed right through some pretty epic adventures!

In one masterpiece, for example, the pair gets their Olympic medals on as they cross the finish line decked out in Greek crowns:

For her next trick, the inventive mama turns her daughter into a bad*ss professional paranormal eliminator in order to properly bust her son, who is now doing duty as a tiny sleeping ghost:

There was that time the twins got swallowed up by an infamous Great White Shark:

The time they got to hang (upside down) with everybody's favorite green muppet:

And the time they took a ride on a pretty major roller coaster, waving their hands in the air like they just don't care:

And check out this creation, where one twin is saving the other from falling off a cliff:

So awesome!

The pièce de résistance, however, has got to be the one where the twins got to be part of the Google doodle:

If only our own lives were half as exciting, right?

  1. My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website www.SleepBaby.org - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! Can’t imagine life without it! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out!
