This Mom Perfectly Sums Up Why Parents Can't Have Nice Things
That's Inappropriate blogger Meredith Masony hilariously explains in a new video why having kids means you need to give up on having nice things.
I watched That’s Inappropriate blogger Meredith Masony’s new video, “Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” just days after my kids wrote all over my brand-new dining room table. Not that they did it on purpose! They are just, well, kids. And as Masony contends, kids ruin your sh*t just by being themselves.
“Once you have children, they will destroy everything that you own,” asserts the Florida-based mom-of-three in the video. Anyone going to disagree with her? I didn’t think so.
As Masony pontificates about kids urinating and snotting on her stuff, and spilling food and drawing everywhere, she shows us the items in her home her kids have destroyed. Like her sofa. And her wall.
Now that she’s a parent, Masony says she has a different take on why her grandmother covered all of her nice furniture with plastic. It wasn’t because she was crazy; rather, she was “a damn genius.”

In the end, Masony says although her kids have ruined all her stuff, she isn’t going to let them win the “war.” Still, she admits to Parents.com, “I do not have any new nice furniture. I actually started buying garage sale stuff and re-painting it. I am so over it. They ruin everything!”
