I'll never forget the first time my daughter gave me major attitude, and my mom said, "Karma is a b*tch."
Ugh. Like I needed to hear that during such a stressful moment! Still, I guess she has a point, since I was definitely not always 100 percent delightful as a preteen and teenager (yes, I can admit it now!).
It seems my mom is not the only grandparent who is having a little fun getting back at her kids now that they have our own children. Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, recently told People magazine that she isn't afraid to give her grandkids toys their parents may not exactly appreciate.
At the 2017 Ladylike Foundation Annual Women of Excellence Awards Gala in Beverly Hills, California, the soon-to-be grandma of Beyoncé's twins (she is already a grandmother to 5-year-old Blue Ivy and Solange's 12-year-old son Daniel), said, "I buy them drum sets and noisy toys. I encourage them to ask for everything, so I'm getting my kids back."
Very funny, Tina!
Meanwhile, the star grandma went on to say she doesn't know the gender of her daughter's twins. She also called being a grandma "the second best job in the world!" after being a mom, of course.
So, do your parents or in-laws enjoy getting back at you and your partner through your kids? If so, we'd love to hear more about their comments or loud, annoying gifts!
