Working Mother magazine has released its list of the 50 Most Powerful Moms of 2016. The group features women with kids under the age of 18 who are basically kicking butt in every aspect of their lives.
It won't come as any surprise that the first person given the most powerful title is singer/songwriter extraordinaire and mom to a 3-year-old son, Adele. Does anyone not love and admire Adele? I didn't think so.
Speaking of famous moms pretty much everyone is obsessed with, I'll give you one guess as to the second person on the list of the 50 Most Powerful Moms. Yup, that would be Beyonce.
Carrie Underwood, Kerry Washington, Reese Witherspoon, Victoria Beckham, and Jessica Alba also made the cut.
Of course, not every mom named to this list is a household name. Business execs such as Cecile Frot-Coutaz of FremantleMedia Group and Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley are also represented. Fashionista moms made the cut too, from Emmanuelle Alt, editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, to Delphine Arnault, director and executive vice president of Louis Vuitton, to Sara Blakely, founder and CEO of Spanx—plus, of course, designer (and mom-of-three) Tori Burch.
No matter which industry they hail from, be it finance, politics, or marketing, the common theme among these women is they all hold incredibly important jobs at work and at home. Take the CEO of YouTube, Susan Wojcicki; she has five kids! If she can make her life work, I'm feeling infinitely better about handling mine.
Every mom on this list is a role model for me as I strive to do my best as a working mom.
