Samantha Bee isn't a cool mom, she's a regular mom. And she has no qualms about copping to it.

The hilarious 47-year-old actress/comedian has three kids under 12—11-year-old Piper, 8-year-old Fletcher, and 6-year-old Ripley—plus two hit TV shows, and she admits that it sometimes feels like she and husband Jason Jones are just stumbling through the whole thing.

"I don't think we're doing everything perfectly," she recently told Page Six during an appearance for the Season 2 premiere of her show "The Detour." "But we're just doing our best."

Amen, Mama! Bee then went on to explain that the trick to remaining afloat is to lead a life on the down-low. "We basically just work, raise our kids, and then we pass out at 8:30 p.m.," she said. "We're not cool, that really helps. We don't go out and that's basically the key."

Not buying it? Just check out this recent tweet:

So brilliant! Because while, to the uninitiated, high-key hibernation may sound like a snoozefest, I SO get where Bee is coming from. When my kids were toddlers, I used to look forward to the weekend as a chance to hire a sitter and go out on the town. The monotony of raising little kids always felt like something I needed a brief escape from.

But now that my kids are older (14 and 11), and I am too—47, just like Bee—I get way more excited by the idea of staying home to binge-watch Netflix. I don't need a physical escape from my daily grind as much as I need a mental one. Because the stress doesn't disappear as our children get older—we simply worry about different things.

Or as Bee's husband Jason so succinctly summed it up to Page Six: "It's just hard raising kids."

I feel you, man!

Still think Bee's a pretty cool mom, though.
