Moms, we needed to hear this.
In a new video posted to YouTube, the "Kid President" has an important message for us moms on Mother's Day. And it's a message we kinda need to hear.
"Mom! It's the best word in the world," the junior prodigy starts out by informing us. But he is soon schooling mothers that they need to stick together. "'Cuz if you don't, we're going to take over," he warns.
"Don't Judge Judy each other," the pres advises. You can't hate just because a mom is making a different choice for how she wants to parent. Instead, he encourages moms to have one another's backs. And not talk behind another mom's back. And not compare yourself to another mom.
"Isn't that what you're always telling us to do?" he asks.
Oh, snap! It's true; sometimes us moms need to follow our own advice.
"Being a mom is tough," this wise kiddo admits, later asking, "Why do moms feel like they have to be perfect? Nobody's perfect!"
Um, why am I learning so much from this sage young man right now?
At the end of this short but totally thought-provoking video, the kid-in-chief thanks moms everywhere for dealing with everything, from poo to throw up. "Thank you for your incredible 'momness,'" he says, adding that the world needs moms more than ever. "So keep mommying."
I will, sir. Well put.
