Nineties trends have been making a serious comeback in the fashion world over the last few months. You can't seem to go anywhere these days without spying a relic from the Britney/Christina era—crop tops, dark lipstick, overalls, velevt chokers, flannels tied around the waist...the list goes on.
Everything old is new again elsewhere, too. We've got a Clinton running for president, and "Full House," "The X-Files," and Hilary Duff are all back on TV. Now comes the news that Nickelodeon is getting in on the action, too. According to Variety, the company is working on a film called NickToons that will combine all of your favorite '90s cartoons into one.
While a release date and plot details are still unknown, we do know the movie will feature famous characters from popular '90s shows like "Doug," "Rugrats," "Ren & Stimpy," "Ahh! Real Monsters," "The Angry Beavers," and " Rocko's Modern Life," and that the flick will be similar in style to Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Which means we can probably expect a blend of animation and live-action footage.
The Nicktoons movie will be directed by Jared Hess, the man who brought us Napoleon Dynamite and also produced the latest "Spongebob Squarepants" film, also a Nickelodeon entity.
Is anyone else hoping Iggy Azalea shows up as Rugrats' Charlotte Pickles?
Who else would you like to see in the movie? And what else from the '90s do you think should make a comeback? Sound off in the comments!
