Kristin Cavallari Jokes She's Going to Be a 'Single Mom' While Her Husband Is Playing for the NFL
Her husband may have signed with the Miami Dolphins, but the former reality star is staying put in Nashville.
Reality star Kristin Cavallari has no plans to move to the Sunshine State with her husband NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, who recently signed a one-year, $10 million deal to play for the Miami Dolphins. Instead, the Laguna Beach and The Hills alum plans to remain in Nashville with the couple's three kids, sons Camden, 5, and Jaxon, 3, and daughter Saylor, 1.
"So, I'm a single parent for the next five months," Cavallari joked to Entertainment Tonight during a Facebook Live appearance with the show on Tuesday, August 29. "It's a little chaotic, but in the best way."
Was her comparison to being a single mom just a little insulting to all the real mamas out there flying solo 24/7, 365? Probably. But raising 3 kids under 5 is no joke, and we get that Cavallari was kidding here. Plus, we have mad respect for this working mom-of-3's decision to make things easier on her kiddos by staying put.
"We just moved [to Nashville], actually, a few months ago, full time," she explained. "And both my boys are in school. It doesn't make sense to pack up the family just for five months."
The jewelry designer—who just unveiled her second collection for her line Uncommon James—then went on to reveal that so far, juggling the needs of 3 kids hasn't actually been as hard as she thought it was going to be. Of course, it doesn't hurt that this suddenly "single mom" has got some pretty good backup. And we just love the way Cavallari kept it real by copping to all the behind-the-scenes help she has with childcare.
"I have an amazing nanny," she admitted. "I just do. My mother-in-law is there with my kids right now, so I couldn't do it without them."
It takes a village, people! And this is one hardworking mama who has no problem admitting it.
