Kim Kardashian Claps Back at Mom Shamers After Son's Pneumonia Scare

After 3 days in the hospital, Saint is finally back home and healthy.

Kim Kardashian Opens up About Her 2-Year-Old Son's Scary Battle With Pneumonia

Kim Kardashian took to Instagram on Tuesday to open up about her scary, final days of 2017. The reality star (who is expecting her third child with rapper Kanye West) spent three days in the hospital alongside her 2-year-old son, Saint West, after he came down with a serious case of pneumonia.

Kim used the social media platform to praise the incredible hospital staff that nursed Saint back to health—thankfully, the toddler is now resting comfortably at home.

"My precious baby boy is so strong! After spending three nights in the hospital & seeing my baby get multiple IV’s and hooked up to oxygen machines, our end of year was challenging," Kim's Instagram post reads.

She continued, "Pneumonia is so scary. I just want to thank every nurse & doctor out there who works so hard around the clock. We are so grateful for you all! He’s home and all better. He’s so resilient I’m sure he will still say the ambulance ride was cool! My strong Saint 👼🏽."

Saint appeared to be in good health while attending his grandmother Kris Jenner's annual Christmas Eve bash. Kim posted a family photo to Instagram on Friday with the caption "Happy Holidays" just prior to Saint falling ill.

Kim also shared the news of Saint's health scare to Twitter where hundreds of concerned fans shared their sympathies:

Although lots of love came pouring in, there were plenty of rumors circling that Kim and Kanye left Saint in the hospital to celebrate New Year's Eve after the reality star posted videos of the night to Snapchat. Kim clapped back at the hurtful comments via Twitter, stating, "I haven't heard this BUT lets get this straight. I did not leave my son for one minute during his hospital stay. We were there Wednesday night to Saturday. NYE WAS SUNDAY NIGHT. People came over when he was already asleep for the night! Don't even try me when it comes to my kids."

No surprises here that there is no truth to that absurd rumor—people should know better than to get in between a protective mother and her child, especially in times of trouble. We are happy to report that Saint is healthy and resting at home as the West family prepares for the arrival of their third child (via surrogate) in 2018!
