Kate Hudson's SIL's Pizza Night Is a Total #ParentingFail

It's just not dinner unless you set off the smoke alarm, am I right?

If I had a dime for every time I put something in the oven since becoming a mom and then proceeded to forget about it... well, I'd probably have around $1.60.

I know, I know—chump change. Because let's face it—I don't burn dinner every night I decide to cook (which admittedly is not all that often). But I do it enough that I've set off the smoke alarm a few times and once had a bunch of firemen show up at my house. Needless to say, I now make sure to set the timer on my cell phone every time I stick something in the oven.

Consider that your mom hack for the day.

Anyway, it's good to know I'm not alone when it comes to massive #kitchenfails. Just check out this picture actress Kate Hudson posted on Instagram of her sister-in-law Erinn's recent dinner debacle:

No, that is not a brownie. It's a PIZZA—burnt to a crisp!

Erinn's account is private, but Kate generously reposted the image, along with the hilarious caption in its entirety:

"I don't usually post food stuff but I was inspired by my mom friends posting all their yummy healthy homemade recipes," Erinn wrote."So here it is.... First take the pizza out of the box. Set the oven to 375. Pour a glass of wine. Place the pizza in the oven. DO NOT set timer. Sip your wine. Recommended cooking time is 12 to 14 minutes. I say wait a good hour to get this perfect deep dark brown color. Or wait until you're hungry kids come and ask when the pizza will be ready. Drink more wine #momfail."
