The cute celebrity couple marked their 8th wedding anniversary by going to a wilderness camp with their daughter Everly.
Believe it or not, it's been 8 years since adorable celeb couple Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum tied the knot after meeting on the set of Step Up. Now parents to 4-year-old daughter Everly, the longtime couple decided to mark the big occasion by going off the grid at a wilderness camp in Michigan. Dewan Tatum was on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan yesterday, Friday, July 21, talking about the experience.
"I call [Channing] Bear Grylls," the 36-year-old mama explained. "He really loves being outdoors, in nature. So, we went on a wilderness camp with our daughter, which is in the middle of nowhere in Michigan. And I can't even tell you where it was because that's part of the deal. If you tell anyone, you can never come back. There's no address, there's no WiFi, there's no service. There's, like, one little internet cabin."
They planned to check out from the web and email as much as possible. "It was really funny because we were like, 'You know what? We're going to enjoy this. We're not going to have internet,'" Dewan Tatum explained. "The first day, you're feigning. You're like, 'I need to know my emails!' And then one day, I was like, 'I'm going to go take a walk,' and Chan was like, 'Yeah, I'm going to take a walk, too.' We ended up at the internet café. I was like, 'I know where you were. I see you!'" Ha!
It sounds like their daughter had an even better time than her folks, the way Dewan Tatum explained it to Kelly and Ryan. The proud mama explained that after a couple of days, her little girl got involved in the kids' group on-site. "She loved it! The first two days ... you know, we're in a cabin on a lake with really nothing for her to do, so she's a little stir-crazy," Jenna recalled. "And then we found they had a wilderness camp for kids. It was the cutest thing in the entire world." Everly got attached to the camp counselor Tony, and soon "learned how to make s'mores, go fishing, go sailing," etc. She even learned how to hit a pinecone with a baseball bat, as you can see in the video below.
