A new Christmas photo of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, has been released—and it's just as perfect as you'd expect!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are spreading the magic and the wonder of the holiday season with the release of their family Chirstmas card photo!
"The Duke and Duchess are hugely appreciative of all the warm messages they have received about their family this year and are very much looking forward to their first Christmas as a family of four," read the photo's caption on The British Monarchy Facebook page.
And along with the picture came some big news from the Royal Family: Prince George will start nursery school in January at Westacre Montessori in Norfolk.
"We are looking forward to welcoming George to our nursery where he will get the same special experience as all of our children," Westacre said in a statement.
Like father, like son, apparently: Prince William attended Montessori school 30 years ago. According to Hello, he was the first senior royal to attend such a school—known for its emphasis on a child's independence, freedom and social development—and did so at the insistence of his mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
Mixed-age classrooms are encouraged at Montessori, in the hope that younger children will learn from their older peers. At just 2, George will be on the younger side.
The little prince—decked out, like his dad, in various shades of blue—sure looks happy in the family portrait, posing alongside William, Kate, and his 7-month-old sister Princess Charlotte on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
"I thoroughly enjoyed photographing a very lovely family," said photographer Chris Jelf. "Although you have to be sharp as you don't have long when there are two young children involved!"
We wish the Royal Family every happiness this holiday season and throughout the new year!
