My kids' names are Dylan and Emma, and I drive around with a vanity plate on my car that reads "Dylemma." I'm not generally a fan of vanity plates, but in this case, it was just too good to pass up. Plus, I thought it was a pretty solid way to honor my little ones.
That is until I heard that Drew Barrymore recently went and scored herself some fresh ink that features the names of her daughters.
"Getting a great little lifetime note on my arm," wrote Barrymore on Instagram, alongside a pic of her, mid-tattoo sesh. She later shared the money shot with her 4 million followers: A close-up of the inside of her wrist with the words "Olive and Frankie" tattooed in black. And it looks like it may even be in her own handwriting. Awwww!
Sadly, the trip to the tattoo parlor comes on the heels of the announcement that the 41-year-old mama has ended her marriage to husband Will Kopelman, dad to both Frankie and Olive.
In a joint statement, Drew and Will insisted that their daughters will remain their top priority. "Our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family," they told People magazine. "Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on. Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority."
The actress elaborated to Pop Sugar: "The only thing I care about, my life's mission and the only thing that matters as of now, is that my daughters know what our lives were like, how we lived, and how much I love them," she said. "For them to know that they were not just loved, but, like, ridiculously, utterly, life-alteringly loved. That's the only reason I'm here now!"
We wish them all the best during this difficult time.
