Does Hilary Duff Really Have to Defend Kissing Her Son on the Lips?
The actress fired back after being mom-shamed for planting a sweet smooch on her 4-year-old.
Internet, grow up!
First Victoria Beckham got taken to task earlier this year after sharing an adorable pic of herself kissing her daughter Harper on the lips in honor of the little girl's birthday. Now it's Hilary Duff who's come under fire after posting a shot that shows her kissing her 4-year-old son Luca on the lips at Disney World.
"Happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest happiest place on earth!" the actress wrote in the caption.
So beautiful! My kids are 11 and 14 now, and I will continue to kiss their sweet faces as long as they will let me. But some commenters weren't exactly on board.
"Idk why but this weirds me out," wrote one.
"Hilary duff was my queen until I saw her kissing her son ON THE MOUTH," added another.
And from a third: "Kissing your child on the lips is not necessary. It may in time create a not healthy desire and it's to close to what adults do. There are the hands the forehead the cheek it also shows more respect. Trust me Hilary."
Really, guys? Is this where we are now? Mom-shaming someone for showing her son ALL THE LOVE? The fact that this is even an issue makes me sad for the world.

Yesterday, Duff fired back on Instagram with another post, this one featuring a strongly-worded message:
Bravo, Mama...smooch on!
