Disney is planning to turn more than a dozen of its classic animated films into live-action movies in the next few years, and we couldn't be more excited about the lineup!

Given the success of Disney's live-action Beauty and The Beast (which I took my kids to see, and it totally lives up the hype!), it's no surprise the Mouse House is set to release six new live-action films in the coming years. Here are the films and (some) release dates on deck, so you can mark your calendars!

Mulan. The live action film version of the animated tale about a Chinese girl who takes her father's place in the military is set to hit theaters just shy of Thanksgiving 2018. The cast has not yet been determined, incidentally, although according to Movie Pilot, there is pressure on director Niki Caro to use Asian actors.

Aladdin. How awesome is it that Prince Ali, Princess Jasmine, and Genie are going to make their live-action debut? It's as if Disney fans' wishes have been granted! We don't yet know when the movie will come out, and who will star, but we do know Guy Richie is set to direct. Which is super intriguing!

The Lion King. I just can't wait... for this to come out, although a release date hasn't been set yet. Jon Favreau, who directed the awesome live-action version of Jungle Book, is working on this film, starring the voice talents of Donald Glover as Simba, and James Earl Jones as Mufasa.

The Little Mermaid. We don't know when we will become part of Ariel's live-action world, but we are ready whenever she is! Chloe Grace-Moretz was in talks to be a part of this one, but she dropped out, so it's a mystery as to who will fill those iconic fins.

Cruella (101 Dalmations). Think Maleficent but maybe with Emma Stone. At least that's the bark, er, buzz on the street.

Other live-action Disney films in the works include (another?!) Peter Pan, Tink (with Reese Witherspoon in the title role!) The Sword and the Stone, Dumbo (Tim Burton will direct!), Pinocchio, Winnie the Pooh, Rose Red (a take on Snow White, focused on her long-lost sister), Prince Charming, Genies (centered around everyone's favorite blue star of Aladdin), and possibly even more! Phew!

All I know is that it looks like I should start saving now for the massive amount of money I'll have to shell out to see all of these films with my four kids!

Which film are you most excited to see?
