A Michigan dad named Adam Boyd, who is also a builder, created the ultimate playhouse for his daughters, Avery, 5, and Violet, 2. The two-story structure was constructed complete with two Southern-style porches, hanging plants, and real doors and windows. But don't let the grown-up features fool you; in the back of the house is a swirly slide, a rock-climbing wall, and swings.
Inside the house, Boyd built a loft, and tastefully decorated the main play space with a table for tea parties and crafts, and comfy-looking chairs and a sofa. The walls are painted pink, and whimsical accents like a flower-like ceiling fan, and fun touches like a chalkboard wall make the space a little girl's dream playhouse!

Boyd, the president of Atb Building Inc. told ABC News, "A lot of people, friends and family included, thought I was nuts for doing what I did, but I'm very satisfied with the outcome. I'm happy to watch them play in it, and play in it with them. It's worth every penny I've spent and it's gonna be there forever."
The proud papa shared his stunning creation on Facebook, and announced he is interested in building playhouses like the one he made for Avery and Violet for other families. His new biz venture will be called, fittingly, Spoiled Rotten Homes.
Of course, we don't all have the space or cash to fund mini-homes for our kids. For me, this playhouse is more aspirational; I love how the indoor space is uncluttered but still has everything a child could ever dream of. It's all about usable space that parents can still enjoy and be proud of.
But yeah, this dad is awesome.
