I'll admit it's a struggle to get my kids to care about brushing their teeth. It's basically a race in the morning and at bedtime to see who can finish faster, spit, and move on to the next thing.
That's why I'm parent-crushing on the genius dad of an 8-year-old boy in London, whose tooth fairy note scolding him for his poor brushing technique is going viral.
Henry Warren posted the note written by Barry T. Tooth Fairy to young Sam, to Twitter.
In the hilarious missive, Barry informs Sam there was a delay in payment for the tooth he recently lost "due to the condition in which we found said tooth."
He goes on to explain that the tooth had been referred to a committee for further analysis, having shown a "lack of care and attention by yourself." My favorite line is when Barry tells Sam they found Fanta, cereal and chocolate on the tooth.
The tooth fairy note then suggests improving Sam's brushing technique, and lets him know that they will accept a tooth in poor condition occasionally, but would expect subsequent teeth to improve.
I can only imagine how my kids would react to receiving a note like this. The dad-of-three told Today.com that Sam was "somewhat chastened" by the fairy's lashing, but that he also took the one pound coin that was included, and ran off.

I'm still guessing this brilliant idea will work wonders to improve Sam's brushing. And I'm also not ashamed to admit that I'm so impressed, I might just steal this idea and see if my kids can start paying a bit more attention to their dental hygiene.
