Angelina Jolie surprised fans and moviegoers this weekend at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado when she showed up to debut her latest film First They Killed My Father. And not only did Angie herself make an appearance, but the proud mom brought her entire brood: Maddox, 16; Pax, 13; Zahara, 12; Shiloh 11, and 9-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox!

Jolie's latest flick is based Cambodian human rights activist Loung Ung’s memoir, which documents her experience as a young girl under the brutal rule of the Khmer Rouge. She produced, directed, and co-wrote the film, which debuts on Netflix on September 15.

The actress and director's eldest son, Maddox, was born in Cambodia, which Jolie clearly feels a strong connection to. Maddox reportedly worked with his mom on the film, serving as executive producer and helping Jolie review multiple drafts of the film, reports People. “I wanted my son to know who his countrymen are,” Jolie said in a Q&A following the screening of the movie.

Her son Pax also served as an on-set photographer for the movie. So, it's fitting and lovely that all the children helped support their mom and siblings at the premiere. The film has also garnered so much critical acclaim, it's already been buzzed about as an Oscar contender, so chances are Jolie and her kiddos will have even more to celebrate come early 2018!
