Surprise! Tomorrow is April Fools' Day. If you're anything like me, you haven't given it much thought until now. But there's still time to prep for some good foolish fun, especially if you go for an edible joke. Aside from being pretty easy to pull off, you can usually make them for a whole family's worth of kiddos in one big batch. Most importantly though, they're guaranteed to result in pleasantly awestruck targets. Need some clever culinary inspiration? Try one of these sweet ideas that will let you have your prank and eat it, too!

Take the classic jello juice trick up a notch by adding fake ice cubes:

Far from cheesy, this sweet platter will likely have your targets fooled until the first bite:

Wait until the kiddos have gobbled up a bowl of this delicious dip to reveal the surprise.  It's actually beans!:

These pretty little planters are actually cupcakes in disguise.  Dirt for dessert anyone?:

The last prank Joy Howard pulled on her young girls was to feed them "leprechaun cereal," by adding a drop of food coloring to the bottom of their cereal bowls and slowly pouring milk over so it doesn't change color until it's stirred. She is not a fan of startle-inducing jokes.
