Learning to read is a huge life lesson. Before your child starts to tackle this skill, here's what you should know.
I think it's really important for parents to read books to their children. It's so important to have discussions about them because as children get older many times. Parents see that their kid is decoding a word. But they can't have a conversation about the book. So that's not really reading yet. So it's so important at a young age, to really have deep conversations about the book. Why did a character do something? Do you agree with what they did? It's really asking them why do you think that. What makes you think that? Would you do that? How would you do something differently. Cuz it totally depends on the book. And set them up to have those conversations and be, be able to think about books before they're even reading. [MUSIC]
