Oprah’s Super Thoughtful Gift to the Royal Baby Will 'Last a Lifetime'
Oprah means business when it comes to gift giving.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, welcomed their first baby, a boy, into the world this week. And already the little one is getting some pretty solid gifts from his aunt Oprah.
According to Oprah (a royal in her own right), she gives the same gift to every new parent in her life. And the new royal baby is no different.
“I have a standard gift that I do for people that I really care about,” Oprah shared with Access Hollywood. “So I don’t know the baby’s name or the baby’s gender, but this baby will have enough books to last a lifetime.”
And, as Travel + Leisure previously reported, the couple likely has the perfect place to store the child’s new Oprah-gifted library.
When the pair moved into their new home, Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle, they reportedly overhauled the entire home. With the renovations, the couple reportedly added a yoga room, a gym, and of course, a new nursery. And that’s likely where all the baby’s gifts from famous friends will be housed.
Of course, it’s no big surprise that Oprah would give the baby a super thoughtful gift. After all, she does appear to have a special relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. She attended their royal wedding last May, and, as Marie Claire reported, recently announced she is working on a project with Prince Harry. The pair will work on a new series together that will launch on Apple TV. The program, Marie Claire explained, will focus on the topics of mental illness and mental wellbeing.
As the pair spend more time together, the baby may receive even more Oprah-approved gifts. Which, we all know, are some of the best products on Earth. Now that’s one lucky baby.
