We’re completely in summer mode—that means sipping on fruity summer wines on the patio, hunting for cotton candy grapes, and stocking the freezer with ice cream for dessert. But if you’re already looking for an escape from the rising temperatures, you can start dreaming about cooler autumn days with fall-inspired eats. Though we’re just past the 4th of July, the first new Halloween candy of the year has been spotted on shelves, so it’s time to start planning your Halloween costume (or is it too soon?).

M&M’s Creepy Cocoa Crisp

The first Halloween candy of the season looks like a winner! Spotted on shelves at Target, M&M’s Creepy Cocoa Crisp has a crispy, chocolatey center surrounded by an outer layer of dark chocolate (if the packaging is any indication, it looks like the flavor is based on chocolate crispy cereal). Rather than the traditional M&M colors, it looks like the pack will be filled with spookier hues like brown, orange, and red. M&M is known for releasing delicious new flavors, like hazelnut spread-filled candies, and for coming up with new holiday creations, like their hot cocoa M&M’s.

Even though we’re still enjoying summer, we can’t help but look forward to what fall might have in store. If you need a taste of autumn to get you through the sweltering summer days ahead, check your local Target for Creepy Cocoa Crisp M&M’s, and keep your eyes peeled for other new Halloween candies!
