Ruiz Food Products Inc. issued a voluntary recall this morning for one variety of their frozen breakfast burritos after three consumers complained about finding plastic fragments in the product. The specific product under recall is their El Monterey Signature Burrito Egg, Sausage and Cheese with a "Best If Used By" date of 01/15/2021. This product was produced on October 15, 2019.

There have been no confirmed injury reports related to consuming this product to date, however the FDA is still listing this as a Class I Recall with a high health risk. Class I recalls are described as, "a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death."
