The once Disney Land exclusive treat has made it to the East coast and we couldn't be more ready to pig out. We'll take ours sundae-style, please.
Any Disney theme park enthusiast can tell you the pros and cons to both Disney Land vs. Disney World—there will never be an obvious choice of which location is better, but they both come with selling points and disadvantages. Although, the playing field appears to be more equal than ever now that Disney World in Orlando is offering Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets. That’s right, Disney Land’s coveted pastry has made its way to Florida and we couldn’t be more about it. We are just surprised this didn’t happen sooner—there is always plenty of powdered sugar to go around, right?
Ooh la la! The Mickey-shaped beignet has long been one of the BEST snacks in Disneyland Park, and have I got a special surprise for you! It’s made it’s way to Walt Disney World! You can’t get it in the parks though, you’re going to have to head over to Sassagoula Floatworks at Port Orleans French Quarter to enjoy this special treat 😋 Use a Disney Snack credit for 3! Or up your game and buy 6 😉 You have a choice of adding dipping sauces, too: Caramel, Strawberry, or Chicory Coffee Ganache 😍 #ftcChrissy #disneydining #snackcredit #mickeybeignets #pofq #portorleans #frenchquarter #disneyfoodies #snack #yum #mickeymouse #disneynews #waltdisneyworld
Thanks to The Disney Food Blog, we can confirm that the beignets, which were once served-up in a classic style, are now Mickey Mouse-themed and only $4.49 for three—$6 if you want your beignet as an ice cream sundae. And trust us, that extra $2 doesn’t seem like too bad of an investment.
As if we weren’t drooling enough, The Disney Food Blog also notes that the new and improved Mickey Mouse beignets appear to be thicker, fuller, and denser than the original beignets you used to be able to purchase at Disney World. We applaud the all-around upgrade.
For an added charge, you can also capitalize on the experience with your choice of three divine dipping sauces: caramel, strawberry, and chicory coffee ganache. Yes, chicory…coffee…ganache. Need we say more?
Everyone head on over to Disney World's Port Orleans—at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory to be more specific—and indulge, indulge, indulge. It’s vacation; you’re allowed to treat yourself, and we can’t think of a better reason to.
