Easy Veggie Dumplings
Whisk away. Help your child measure out 2 Tbs. rice-wine vinegar, 2 Tbs. soy sauce, 1 Tbs. sugar, and ? tsp. grated ginger, and a place them in a small bowl. Show her how to use a whisk, and ask her to mix everything together. Suggest she hold onto the bowl with one hand to keep it steady. Set aside.
Fill, fill, fill. Put 16 wonton wrappers on your work surface. Have your child place 1 tsp. spinach, ? tsp. corn, and ? tsp. carrots on one side of each of the wrappers. Then have her drizzle more soy sauce on top of the veggies in the wrappers.
Close them up. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Ask your kid to brush the sides of the wonton wrappers with water. Help her fold them over and pinch the sides together to seal. Boil for 3 minutes; drain.
Cool dumplings slightly on a platter with the dipping sauce. Put three or four on a plate for your child, and let her dig in!
