Yummy Hummus Sauce

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 15 1/2 ounce can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro

Make It

1. Process the garlic in a food processor or blender until finely chopped. Add the next seven ingredients and process until a smooth puree forms. Adjust the seasoning with more lemon juice, salt, and pepper, if desired. Stir in the cilantro.

2. If the sauce is too thick, add more water, then transfer it to a microwave-safe bowl and heat on high for 1 minute. Keep the sauce warm until serving.
