Sauteed String Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound string beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, cut in half
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sliced almonds OR: chopped walnuts

Make It

1. Cook beans in lightly salted boiling water 5 minutes. Drain in colander; run under cold water.

2. Heat oil in large skillet over low heat. Add garlic; cook 5 minutes. Add beans, salt, pepper and almonds; heat through, 2 minutes. Remove garlic and discard. Makes 6 servings.
