Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
Wash asparagus; snap off and discard lower tough end. Drizzle asparagus with olive oil and toss lightly to coat. Place asparagus in shallow baking dish that holds them in a single layer. Sprinkle with thyme, salt and pepper.
Roast in 425 degree F oven for 15 minutes or until tender. Makes 6 servings.
