Stir together butter, lime juice, chili powder, salt and red pepper in a small bowl until smooth and thoroughly combined. Generously coat corn with butter. Wrap each ear in foil and tighten securely.
Roast in 450°F oven for 45 minutes, or grill over medium-hot coals until tender, 15 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
