This green bean and potato combo simplifies your menu planning by combining two side dishes in one.
1. Place potatoes in large saucepan. Add enough water to cover by 2 inches. Add 2 teaspoons salt. Simmer 10 minutes, until almost tender. Add beans; cook 6 to 7 minutes, until tender. Drain.
2. Heat oil in small skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook 3 minutes, until softened. Add tomato; cook 3 minutes. Stir in tomato paste; cook 1 minute. Add remaining 1 teaspoon salt and the pepper.
3. To serve, mix potatoes and beans with onion mixture in bowl.
