1. Heat broiler. Pierce potatoes with a fork. Place on paper towels in the microwave. Microwave on HIGH for 16 minutes, turning over halfway through.
2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a medium-size skillet over medium-high heat. Add asparagus and cook 5 minutes. Season with 1/8 teaspoon each of the salt and pepper; remove from heat. Line a small baking sheet with aluminum foil; place potatoes on foil.
3. Carefully cut open potatoes; season with remaining 1/8 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Dot with margarine; top with asparagus. Divide cheese evenly among potatoes. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned on top.
