Torn Garlic Croutons

  • 1 baguette (12 oz; about 24 inches long)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Make It

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees . Tear baguette into 3/4-inch chunks.

2. In a bowl, combine oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Add bread chunks and toss to coat with seasonings. Spread chunks in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes, until edges are golden brown and crunchy. Allow croutons to cool to room temperature and use immediately, or store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 days.
