Texas BBQ Dry Rub

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 3 tablespoons unrefined evaporated cane sugar
  • 3 tablespoons packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1/4 cup Mexican chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle chile powder
  • 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon celery salt
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Make It

1. Combine kosher salt, unrefined evaporated cane sugar, packed light or dark brown sugar, chili powder, Mexican chili powder, chipotle chile powder, freshly ground black pepper, ground cumin, smoked sweet paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, celery salt, dry mustard and cayenne pepper in a bowl and stir. Store in an airtight container in a dry place for up to 2 months.
