Sweet (potato) Sundae Bar


  • Sweet potatoes
  • Crumbled feta or other cheese/Diced bacon, cooked until crisp/Sliced onions, sauteed in live oil until very browned and sweet/Snipped chives or other herbs/Dried cherries/Toasted pecans or other favorite nuts

Make It

1. Heat the oven to 425 degrees . Clean enough sweet potatoes to feed your crowd, then prick them all over with a fork. Place them on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake them until they're very soft, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

2. Split the potatoes, then serve them with butter, sour cream, or Greek yogurt, and a dizzying array of other toppings in little bowls.
