To make a batch of about 30 balls, whisk flour, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder. Add cheddar cheese and toss to coat. Add sausage, breaking
it up with a fork. Add butter and milk and mix well. Using a tablespoon or a small scoop, shape the mixture into balls and place them on a cookie sheet. Bake in a 400° oven until the balls are golden, about 25 minutes.
Serve them with pepper jelly for dipping-and make a lot. Nobody eats just one!
