You can serve this delicious Apple Smash as a snack or a dinner side dish. Keeping it unsweetened is healthiest, but you can stir in a teaspoon of sugar if you prefer.
Place the first four ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Smash with a potato masher.
Spoon into serving bowls and sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Makes 6 servings.
