1. Cook sausages with 1/2 cup water in large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat 30 minutes, turning occasionally. When water evaporates, prick sausages with fork and continue cooking until sausages are browned all over. When properly cooked, instant-read thermometer inserted in sausages should register 160 degrees F.
2. Remove sausages from skillet; slice in half lengthwise. Add green and red peppers, onion and oregano to skillet; saute over medium heat for 20 to 25 minutes or until peppers and onions are softened.
3. Slice bread lengthwise; fill with the sausages and sweet peppers. Slice bread crosswise into 8 portions. Makes 8 servings.
