1. Cook almonds in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until toasted. Remove and set aside.
2. Cook ham slices in same skillet, about 2 minutes on each side, until browned and heated through. Push ham to one side of skillet. Add escalloped apples, breaking up with spoon. Stir 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper into apples. Cover and cook 3 minutes. Spoon apples and ham slices onto plates. Sprinkle with slivered almonds. Makes 4 servings.
