Fast Track Ribs

Fast Track Ribs
Servings: 6 Chill overnight Bake 450°F 1 hr 25 mins Grill 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 rack (about 2-1/2 pounds) pork loin back ribs
  • 1 recipe BBQ Sauce (recipe follows)
  • 1 recipe Ginger-Soy Sauce (recipe follows)

Make It

1. Cut ribs in half crosswise. Brush ribs with 1/3 cup BBQ Sauce OR 1/4 cup Soy-Ginger Sauce; refrigerate remaining sauce.

2. Place ribs in large extra-heavy-duty aluminum foil baking bag. Bake in 450 degrees F oven 1 hour 25 minutes. Remove pan from oven. Carefully open bag; let ribs cool. Remove ribs from bag. Refrigerate ribs, covered, overnight.

To serve:

3. Prepare grill. Coat ribs with 1/3 cup of your choice of sauce; reserve remaining sauce. Grill, turning once, 15 minutes or until hot. Boil reserved sauce 3 minutes and serve alongside ribs.

BBQ Sauce

Yield: 1-1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 12 ounce bottle chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple-cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Make It

1. Combine chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, chili powder, salt and garlic powder. Refrigerate.

Soy-Ginger Sauce

Yield: 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Asian chili paste
  • 4 teaspoons dark Asian sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar
  • 4 scallions, chopped

Make It

1. Mix soy sauce, peanut oil, rice vinegar, chili paste, sesame oil, brown sugar and scallions in a small bowl. Refrigerate.
