1. Place 2 cups white wine vinegar and 1 tbsp sugar in a saucepan and heat until warm and sugar disolves. Place 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds in a large jar; pour the warm vinegar over the pomegranate seeds. Add 2 halved garlic cloves and six 1/2-inch strips of orange peel. Cover tightly and allow to steep for at least 1 day before using.
