1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Butter 2- to 2-1/2-quart shallow baking dish.
2. Beat together sour cream and eggs in medium-size bowl on medium speed until smooth. On low speed, gradually beat in the 3/4 cup sugar, the flour, vanilla, almond extract and salt until mixture is well blended and smooth.
3. Pour the batter into the prepared dish. Top with the peach slices, overlapping to cover the batter. Sprinkle top with the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar.
4. Bake in 375 degree F oven for 50 or 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle top evenly with confectioners sugar, if desired. Serve warm. Makes 8 servings.
