Summertime Shells

  • 1 pound orange roughy fillets or other mild-tasting fish
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 1 26 ounce jar pasta sauce that contains less than 400 mg sodium per serving, such as Classico Tomato & Basil
  • 8 ounces small shell pasta, preferably whole wheat

Make It

1. Preheat oven to 450 degree F.

2. Arrange fish in broiler pan coated with half the olive oil. Brush fish with remaining oil and sprinkle fillets with salt, basil, oregano, garlic powder, and pepper. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork.

3. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to the package directions. Heat sauce in a covered pan over medium heat until bubbly. Drain pasta and divide into individual bowls. Break fish into chunks and arrange over pasta. Ladle sauce over the mixture.
