Pasta with Broccoli Rabe

  • 1 bunch broccoli rabe, rinsed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 pound hot Italian sausage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • grated parmesan

Make It

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add broccoli rabe. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon. Cook pasta in the boiling water until tender. Meanwhile, remove hot Italian sausage from the casing and saute in olive oil until no longer pink; add garlic, cooked broccoli rabe and cook 5 minutes. Add chicken broth, salt and black pepper. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat. Toss with pasta; sprinkle with grated Parmesan
